Chronic pain is defined as pain that has lasted for over 6 months. There are several variations of chronic pain ranging from episodic to continuous and mild to excruciating. This pain can take a major toll on an individual’s well being and may interfere with their day to day life. In many cases, the pain is the result of an initial injury, however, this is not always the case. Associated side effects include depression, anger, fatigue, anxiety and stress.
